Joey Chestnut: USA! USA! USA!
On July 4th, San Jose's own Joey Chestnut won his fifth straight title at Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island. Chestnut put down 62 weiners within 10 minutes in New York. The only controversy: Takeru Kobayashi, the former 6-time winner banned from the event for his refusal to sign a contract with the Major League Eating monopoly controlling the Independence Day contest, ate 69 dogs in 10 minutes via satellite on the same day. We love Joey and America, but the attempt to force all competitors to sign a MLE contract is completely un-American. Let Joey and Takeru fight man to man!!!
