FeedBack: Apropos to “Colbert Is A Swinger for Marvel”
“Marvel has always been open to daffy gimmicks like this -- hey this is the company built by Stan Lee, after all.”
Of course, one of Stan’s daffiest tricks has been to take full credit for creating Marvel comics’ central core of characters when it fact they were primarily created by Jack Kirby. Stan reaps the benefits of a megabuck entertainment corporation built on licensing Kirby’s ideas. Instead of a percentage, Kirby got a page rate. Even the image of Colbert is taken from Kirby’s drawing of Spiderman’s first appearance.
